Afternoon Tea for Ukraine Appeal
Recently Liza and her team had a great success with the 'Afternoon Tea for Ukraine Appeal' event.
They put on a fantastic selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and scones with fresh cream with Tea, Coffee and Orange - I can't wait for the next one!
All profits made from this event has been in aid of the intense conflict in Ukraine which is still threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country. Since the Russian Federation launched a military offensive against Ukraine on 24 February 2022, it is thought that over 14 million people have fled their homes to escape. Almost 3,000 civilians have been killed (of which 258 are innocent children) and over 4,500 injured (Data correct at 23/5/22).
South Yorkshire Boat Club can be proud that we have done our little part in helping Ukraine.
